Employee Experience Coordinator
The Oklahoma City Thunder is highly active in the inclusion and employee experience space, and we are looking for a support person to help us carry out activations that make the Thunder a great place to work! The employee experience coordinator will primarily focus on internal activations and help us tell our inclusion story. This is a multidimensional role with a lot of room to show initiative as you help us further develop traditions and launch new programs. The ideal candidate has a head for numbers and heart for people and the ability to move seamlessly between the two.
Analytics and Reporting
- Track employee demographic reports and build visually appealing executive dashboards using Tableau or other analytics software
- Assist with compensation review and analysis
- Submit workforce reporting and staff directory reports to the NBA on regular intervals
- Ensure all required training is assigned and completed
- Assist with pulse surveys or other data collection
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Track calendar of important holidays and observances and support the VP, People & Culture with events related to our cultural pillars
- Assist the VP, People & Culture with presenting Everyday Inclusion training to staff
- Schedule and track attendance for onboarding events, training, orientation and tours
- Build content for our employee intranet including announcements for upcoming events and ensure updated coverage on activations that have taken place
- Help with multi-cultural chamber of commerce relationships and commitments
- Support our internal communities of interest with various needs including budget usage and volunteer event tracking
- Build and update supplier diversity lists
- Assist with employee recognition programs
Event Planning
- Assist with planning and execution of our employee experience education series in the areas of wellness, financial literacy, inclusion & culture, and professional development including but not limited to:
- Schedule appointments, make phone calls, research event venues, deliveries and pickups, and coordinate staff fulfillment and logistics
- Research and schedule potential speakers and presenters
- Attend weekly staff event committee meetings and assist with planning and execution including signature events such as Jingle Bowl Bash, Night at the Races and monthly themed breakfast
- Assist with office and arena tours as requested
- Take photos at staff events as requested, which may include evening events
What you'll bring to the role:
- Strong Tableau or other data analytics software experience
- Adept with Microsoft Office products including Excel and PowerPoint
- Respect for confidentiality and confirmed experience protecting sensitive data
- Strong interpersonal skills including proven written communication and excellent listening skills
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to gain insights and recognize important trends from reporting
- Must have a level of professional maturity to optimally communicate across all employee demographics and hierarchies as well as connect with members of the public that could include vendors, CEOs and dignitaries
- Experience with recognition programs and event planning a plus
- Willingness to jump in wherever needed, making every detail count
- Experience using Paycom HRIS a plus
Additional details:
Schedule will include Monday through Friday 8:30-5:30 with occasional evening or weekend duties for special events. Primary work location is the Thunder corporate office located in downtown Oklahoma City. Must have valid driver’s license and transportation as some local travel may be required. Physical requirements will include lifting and bending. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Manager, People & Culture.
