Thunder Community Foundation Coordinator

Join the Oklahoma City Thunder Community Engagement team to help make a difference in the community! The Thunder Community Foundation Coordinator will work within the Community Engagement department to create, implement, and manage revenue-generating activities. The position will be responsible for all administrative duties and provide support for other Foundation operations.

In this role you will:

  • Coordinate and expand existing fundraising initiatives for the Foundation, including events, raffles, online and in-game auctions, and more.

  • Lead the use of fundraising platforms; monitor and track fiscal performance throughout the season using data-driven insights.

  • Maintain donor, donations, and giving databases across multiple platforms, including but not limited to; CRM systems, OneCause, and Approved for Good.

  • Collaborate with internal departments to create and execute promotional plans that drive awareness and participation in fundraising activities.

  • Organize and oversee all aspects of company-wide autograph sessions including communicating with departments, ordering items, setting up signing sessions, and ensuring items are tracked and returned accordingly.

  • Maintain all autographed items for the department and foundation including authentication, logging, and tracking items from current and past seasons in the department player autograph archive.

  • Oversee the donation request program by tracking requests, maintaining a well-stocked inventory of giveaway items, and engaging with community partners on logistics and pick-up details.

  • Prepare administrative materials for Foundation board meetings, including meeting minutes and recaps.

  • Assist with broader community engagement events, programs, and initiatives as needed.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a philanthropic or corporate social responsibility program.

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect across departments and organizational levels.

  • Ability to design and deliver effective and compelling presentations on fundraising, grant making and community partnerships

  • Ability to balance multiple projects in a demanding and fast-paced work environment

  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced in handling confidential materials.

 

Additional Details:

This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Vice President, Community Engagement & Executive Director, Thunder Community Foundation. A valid driver’s license, insurance, and an outstanding driving record are required. The schedule includes regular office hours as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary, occasionally at short notice. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, lift overhead, bend, climb and stand for extended periods. Work will occur at both indoor and outdoor settings in a range of temperatures.
