Description
Training for Hispanic Chamber Members: "Bullying in the Workplace"
“Bullying is like a forest fire and only you can prevent it from happening. ” Bullying in the workplace occurs at all levels, throughout every occupation in the world, and its consequences are expensive. It is everyone’s responsibility to ensure the work environment is safe and free of oppressive, bullying behaviors. Thus, the primary goal is to help individuals identify what Bullying is (and is not). This presentation will discuss the tactics of a bully and list some of the common profiles. The actions of a bully in the workplace may have serious consequences for the target (victim) and bystanders and can have long term repercussions for businesses. The instructor will discuss what you can do to protect yourself both as an individual and at the business level.
Appropriate workplace behavior is everyone’s responsibility. It is imperative that every employee be able to recognize the signs of inappropriate social behaviors (what it is). Each employee and manager ought to be aware of his or her rights and responsibilities (what can be done about it).
In conclusion, this is an informative presentation, prepared for individuals or businesses. The Bully in the Workplace presentation’s primary objective is to educate individuals and businesses about bullying: What it is and how to deal with it. The presentation will define bullying in the workplace, it will identify specific bullying behaviors, and it will provide tips on how to deal with bullying in the workplace. There will be pre and post presentation examinations prearranged to identify whether employees are receiving and retaining the knowledge from the presentation.
