Bilingual Programs Coordinator

The Bilingual Programs Coordinator is an integral part of Smart Start’s dynamic team working to engage and support families. The Bilingual Programs Coordinator is fluent in Spanish and English. This position plans and implements Smart Start programming that provides caregiver education and links families to community resources. The Bilingual Programs Coordinator recruits and stewards partnerships and provides partners with support to implement programs and maximize family impact. The Bilingual Programs Coordinator assists with public awareness and communication efforts and works closely with the program team to plan, implement and evaluate programs.

Responsibilities

Program Coordination
• Organize information and ensure it can be easily accessed by team and partners
• Coordinate program materials and STEAM kit packing
• Ensure appropriate inventory management, including database management as needed
• Contribute to program invoicing
• Assist with evaluation, including data collection and entry 
• Coordinate training sessions and meetings for instructors and coordinators
• Provide technical assistance to partner program coordinators, including program planning, scheduling of classes, class registration, data collection, and delivery of materials for instructors and families
• Maintain and communicate class schedule 
• Help to recruit and secure instructors 
• Provide ongoing communication and participate in problem-solving with program partners and team
• Evaluate processes regularly to ensure program quality and integrity
• Translate materials from English to Spanish
• Other duties as assigned
 
Communications and Engagement
• Help collect program stories from partners and families for various audiences
• Seek opportunities to promote Smart Start programming and build relationships with other community partners
• Help secure and steward partners to assist with linking families to needed community resources
• Support engagement programs through the Harbison Early Education & Kiwanis Community Center
• Other duties as assigned

Other Requirements
• Dependable transportation (daily travel required)
• Valid driver’s license
• Requires some evening and weekend work
 
Education and Work Experience
• BA or BS in business, administration, marketing, or related field or early childhood education or related field
• Experienced in project management 
• Experienced in building partnerships and providing customer service
