Bilingual Bright Future Program Coordinator Job Description
Purpose:  Manage and oversee Lilyfield’s Bright Future program which serves children and families through education support, family strengthening activities and other services designed to transform families and communities to be places where children are safe and can thrive. The Bright Futures program will improve family stability by using a parent peer-support and coaching model to promote family stability in the communities Parent Advocates work with parents using a variety of interventions including structured parent education groups, parent support groups, and individual parent coaching and mentoring.
Job Responsibilities
  1. Become trained in the interventions as the group facilitator to train and support the Parent Advocates.
  2. Implement all aspects of the Bright Futures program.
  3. Coordinate the schedules for the Parent Advocates groups.
  4. Recruit participants in the community through strong relationship with other community resources.
  5. Assist staff in creating fun and interactive environment adults to learn.
  6. Support and provide positive connection with families in the community.
  7. Assist staff with individual make-up or follow up sessions, when necessary.
  8. Travel and to and from the locations where the families live for education and support.
  9. Case coordination and management in conjunction with other service providers such as foster care workers, counselors, teachers, etc.
  10. Maintain and cultivate the strong the partnership between community resources and Lilyfield.
  11. Identify needs in the target community and create solutions to meet those needs.
  12. Maintain awareness of and relationships with a variety of other services providers.
  13. Collecting data from Parent Advocates and maintain case files.
  14. Various marketing and PR activities for the agency.
  15. Other tasks as assigned 
Wage Classification:

Work Hours
Monday-Friday 8:30-5:00pm, some evenings and weekends for group programing. 

This position reports to the EmpowerOKC Program Manager.
Master’s level degree in social work, psychology or a human services related area of study with at least one year of experience in social services; or bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology or a human services related area of study with at least two years of experience in working in social services;
  1. Agreement to abide by and promote the Lilyfield Statement of Faith
  2. Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
  3. Solid social work skills
  4. Strong organizational skills
  5. Ability to engage community partner for program collaboration
  6. Experience in child trauma
  7. Demonstrated competence in assessment and evaluation of children and families
  8. Ability to use discretion when discussing sensitive or confidential information
  9. Excellent interpersonal skills
  10. Ability to schedule and multitask
  11. Good problem-solving skills
  12. Meet requirements of licensing standards in regard to criminal background check.
  13. Be physically, mentally and emotionally capable of performing the assigned tasks and have the skills necessary to perform assigned tasks.
  14. Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
At least two years of work experience with children and families or three years of work experience in any field along with relevant lived experience in the community we are serving.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit on the floor, bend and be at ground level with children.
