DESCRIPTION:What is Latino Leadership OKC? \n\n\n\nLLOKC is a leadership program of the Greater Oklahoma City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.\n\nParticipants are Latinos from a broad range of organizations representing the private\, nonprofit\, and Government sectors. Over the course of the LLOKC program\, class members learn and practice the tools for being effective community leaders and volunteers.\n\n\n\nProgram Goals\n\n\n\n-Increase participant's capacity for\, commitment to and involvement in community activities in central Oklahoma.\n\n-Increase participant's overall capacity for leadership roles by teaching community leadership skills.\n\n-Increase participant's network of peers and established community figures.\n\n-Provide volunteer support to local community projects.\n\n \n\nProgram Activities\n\n\n\n-Class: Participants will be invited to a welcoming Reception and meet once a month for 6 sessions\n\nand attend the graduation. Classes will begin from 8:00 AM - 1:30 PM.  Class sessions will include\, an interactive mix of activities designed to teach community leadership skills through exposure to local examples\, presentation of techniques and processes\, and practice in the skill.\n\n\n\n-Optional Activities: Each LLOKC program will include optional activities such as social events\, additional community experiences and selected Oklahoma City Events.
